Specification - "All steelwork to be blast cleaned to preparation grade SA2½ in accordance with BS7079:Part 1:1989. A suitable and compatible primer or primer system to be applied in accordance with the manufacturer instructions.

Within the recommended overcoating period for the primer, apply Heatshield Waterborne WB intumescent coating to provide ½ / 1 / 1½ hours fire protection. Dry Film Thicknesses (DFT's) are to be achieved in accordance with the products printed Loading Tables for each steel section and location.

Finally, where required, apply Heatshield Waterborne WB Finish Coat to selected BS or RAL colour.

On Site - A minimum of site interruptions to other trades will be insured by using Heatshield Waterborne WB, due to lack of odour and risks.

A Site Supervisor will inspect the completed job and that thicknesses meet the specification. The latest electronic dry film thickness measuring and analysis equipment is used. The inspection is finally endorsed with the issue of our verification of compliance letter, stating that Heatshield Waterborne WB has been both supplied and applied in accordance with requirements.

Quality - Heatshield Waterborne WB is manufactured to ISO 9002 quality assured standards. The product has been extensively tested in accordance with BS476 : Part 21 and the technical claims have been verified by the independent assessment body Loss Prevention Council (Assessment No.CC89985).
